Top 3 Decor Items I Wouldn’t Skip On
When it comes to décor for your bar or bat mitzvah, there are literally endless choices and options for what you can do. Whether you are planning on spending a few thousand or $60,000 I can give you a few tips on the top three items I wouldn’t skip! With years of experience and seeing thousands about thousands of photos, I know makes a visual impact and what may not. Here is a list of my top three decor items I don’t think you should skip:
1. DJ back drop.
The dj area is the central focal point of your entire event. Usually it’s in the middle of the room, therefore making it automatic area the eye is drawn to. Not only is the DJ the physical focal point of the room, but that is where the event is being run from. Every announcement, dance, the hora, blessings- that’s happening will be happening in front of the dj- making it a prime spot for a photo op. I’d say at least 70% of the pictures you’ll have from the night will be in that area, so make it count!
2. The dance floor.
This goes hand in hand with the dj back drop. All of the photos of the hora, video montage and just general dancing will have the dance floor in it. Also, being a central part of the room in a literal sense, it’s a big impact moment for the cost.
This is a great place to bring in a logo, or some fun design.
3. Lighting.
Someone once said to me “lighting is like money, you can never have enough”. When it comes to an event, I couldn’t agree more. When you walk into a space, be it a bar, restaurant, party or experience, what takes it from a regular day time event to a special occasion is the dark room and experiential lighting
